Members of the House Ethics Committee continue to meet behind closed doors to discuss whether to publicly release a report detailing their sweeping investigation into former Congressman Matt Gaetz, President-elect Donald Trump's pick for attorney general. Meanwhile, over on the Senate side, Judiciary Committee members met one-on-one with Gaetz. For more than 2 years, the Department of Justice probed sexual misconduct allegations against Gaetz, as well as allegations of drug use and obstruction of justice, before clearing him last year of any wrongdoing. Gaetz continues to deny anything. Speaker Mike Johnson has said releasing the report about a former congressman would set a dangerous precedent. But a check and Venmo payments obtained by the Ethics Committee appear to show that then-Congressman Matt Gaetz paid more than $10,000 to two women, who testified that some of the payments were for sex. Other Republican senators, whose votes are critical for confirmation, want to know more. Capitol Hill Correspondent Erik Rosales reports.
