Luke 24:35-48

Those in the Upper Room were filled with awe and wonder when they beheld the Risen Lord standing in their midst. At first overcome with fear and disbelief, their hearts were soon set ablaze as He revealed His wounds and spoke words of peace. Once they knew it was truly Him, they could not take their eyes from His glorious face.

Lord Jesus, increase our faith in Your Eucharistic and abiding presence. In times of doubt or darkness, help us to recognize You, as the disciples did, in the breaking of the bread. Remain with us, and draw our hearts ever closer to You.
