Although lawmakers are still on their Easter recess this week, reaction to the death of Pope Francis continues to come in. Several Catholic legislators, including South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, have commented on the news. Democratic Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois released a statement on the life of Pope Francis, saying: "We have lost the messenger, but we must hold fast to the message of Pope Francis to love and respect one another. In a world of hate and fear, Pope Francis' message of peace and understanding is needed now more than ever." Catholic Congressman Pete Stauber shared that he was in St. Peter's Square several years ago and had a personal interaction with Pope Francis: "The popemobile stopped and his aide grabbed my zucchetto. The Pope gave his aide his own zucchetto, which he had been wearing. I remember grabbing it; it was still warm from being on the Pope's head, and then he put mine on." Capitol Hill Correspondent Erik Rosales reports.
