Mark 13: 24 - 32

“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken (…) From the fig tree learn its lesson".

The Bible describes the events at the end of time in very scary terms. This is not to frighten us but to teach us to put our confidence in Christ, not in passing things. If we stand on Christ, we can look forward to his coming without fear.
