Monsignor Roger Landry, head of the Pontifical Mission Societies USA and a priest from the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts, recently celebrated Mass at a leprosy colony in Vietnam. The Mass, held in a packed chapel, was part of a grace-filled journey focused on bringing Christ’s light to those who are suffering. Monsignor Landry described the mission’s goal: "This is our Catholic faith. This is what The Pontifical Mission Society strives to do: to make possible to bring Jesus, the Light of the World, to people no matter what they are suffering. Because even though we walk in the dark valley, we fear no evil, because the Lord Jesus is with us always." In addition to visiting the leper colony, Monsignor Landry spoke at a seminary with nearly 400 students. Monsignor Landry joins to share his experience in Vietnam and why he found it so inspiring. He discusses the health precautions he took while visiting the faithful suffering from leprosy. Lastly, he shares other highlights of the trip, including his visit to the seminary.
