A conference in Rome titled “Rebuilding Lebanon While Preserving Its Religious and Cultural Diversity” brought together diplomatic, religious, and humanitarian leaders to address Lebanon’s ongoing crises and its unique model of interreligious coexistence. Sponsored by the Order of Malta and the German Embassy to the Holy See, the event featured a message from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, who emphasized the urgent need for action and expressed his gratitude for the support. Participants, including Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti and German diplomat Tobias Tunkel, highlighted the importance of Lebanon’s Christian community, noting that they are a vital part of the pluralistic nation's and the Church's identity. They discussed religious diversity as a foundation and source of peace and prosperity. EWTN Vatican journalist Bénédicte Cedergren has more.
