By now, you’ve probably seen the cringe-worthy viral video of Selena Gomez breaking down in tears, lamenting the deportations happening in America. She dramatically claims that her people are being targeted and cries out that she doesn’t know what to do. Normally, when you see someone cry, your heart aches—you feel sympathy, compassion, maybe even a little guilt. But when I saw this video, I was stunned, absolutely stunned. Why? Because here she is, weeping over criminals—yes, criminals—who entered the country illegally and are being deported back to their own nations in a humane and lawful way. Are we seriously supposed to feel pity for this? The sheer disconnect from reality is mind-boggling. Watch the video, and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
