Today, I want to talk about an intriguing video I came across from a Protestant YouTuber who runs the channel NeedGod.Net. In the video, he argues that we would still have the Scriptures even without the Catholic Church because the Apostles, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote down the Word of God, and everyone inherently recognized it as such. From this, he concludes that the Church, the Pope, or priests did not any play any role in giving us the Scriptures.Now, most Protestant apologists steer clear of making such a bold claim, they likely know that history would prove them wrong. But this mindset of "Scripture without the Church" still seems to be quite prevalent among many Protestants. So, let’s dive in and take a closer look at the four key claims he makes in this video.
