The Trump administration may soon appoint its chief diplomat to the Vatican, a position that has remained vacant since January. Brian Burch, co-founder of CatholicVote, testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee as the nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See. During the 90-minute hearing, senators emphasized the significance of the Vatican's role in global affairs. Catholic leaders showed up in support, calling Burch the right man for the job. In his opening remarks, Burch outlined pressing global challenges, including war, religious persecution, and human trafficking. Capitol Hill Correspondent Erik Rosales reports.
